Re: Any fellow Vegetarians?
I'm not a vegetarian but I do attend vegan cooking classes and vegan raw food workshops. I have posted some of the recipes in the everything home related forum, check them out, they are usually pretty darn good. I am still a carnivore but I love my vegies so I guess I am a flexitarian. lol

Re: Any fellow Vegetarians?
I am kind of a pescovegetarian or what it`s called!
I eat fish but not meat.Used to eat a bit turkey, because they are not hold in small cages, but I am waiting for the decision from the politicians here in Norway, on how the enviroment are going to be for them.
No offence to others!!I respect other peoples decisions if they can respect mine.

Re: Any fellow Vegetarians?
I'm not vegetarian but I don't eat red meat (maybe steak once or twice a year). I only eat fish, chicken and turkey. Personal reasons mostly but I really don't like the taste of lamb.

Re: Any fellow Vegetarians?
Its been about a year for me & this will be my first official Thanksgiving although to be honest I never ate the turkey or ham anyways. I am just more aware of what I'm eating now then before like I know I cant have the stuffing because my mom uses the turkey juices to make it. Looks like I'm eating mashed potatoes & corn .
It surprisingly hasn't been hard for me at all to give up meat or animal products.

Re: Any fellow Vegetarians?
I'm not a vegeatarian, I don't think I could be disciplined enough and I practically live off meat.

Re: Any fellow Vegetarians?
I tried to be one, but that only lasted a couple days. I realized there was nothing to eat, everyone I know eats meat, and it is hard in restaurants sometimes, I am a really picky eater, so usually I have to eat some form of chicken. Dont like seafood, lamb, anything spicy, hot dogs, and about 50 other things. I cant help it, I just get physically ill eating stuff that tastes bad to me. I hate having to eat meat, b/c I love animals so much (I even have rats as pets, lol). When a girl I work with saw me eating a chicken sandwich, she said, "I thought you were a vegetarian!" I guess b/c I am big on animal rights, I never told her I was vegetarian b/c I never have been. The meat substitutes taste like barf to me, I wish they treated the animals we eat better, sometimes I get sick thinking about it, but its nature to eat meat, animals do it, I think we are meant to. But I dont care if someone is one or not.

Yeah, I believe that too, I just wish the food industry treated the animals better and the practices weren't so cruel. I was strict vegie for years and never felt better in my life but I did miss my fish and seafood and eggs and cheese! So now I kind of go back and forth. I dont' mind eating meat substitute IF it is done well. I go to a vegie restaurant that makes a fake meatloaf with brown gravy and mushrooms and mashed red potatoes and I swear you can't tell the difference. Great Cook! I'll eat those Garden Burgers and they are OK, but not everyone will eat them. I eat lots of vegies but I love my salmon and I will eat some turkey for Thanksgiving and if I am at a dinner party I will not draw attention to myself and make the host feel like a murderer, there is always other stuff there I eat. But, I don't eat beef or other meat and haven't in so long that I tried a little and got deathly sick! Who knows why? But like you I figure people are free to do what they like. I am an animal advocate too so that kind of figures in why I mostly stick with vegies. But I agree, it is a personal decision and choice. chermarie
