I've heard this one girl on TV saying she only makes friends with "pretty" people. I've heard other comments about not being friends with "fat" folks.

Any of you HONESTLY ever do that? Or you just made friends with whomever?
Do you befriend folks who aren't necessarily attractive or you don't care either way (it was based on personality and the common interests you share)?

No thats is really shallow ,but I think a lot of women are intimatated by my looks .. I rarely find it easy to make a friend

I don't think so... I've always had a wide variety of friends as far as looks, height, weight, race, etc. It's the personality that makes a difference w/ me, not looks.

I personally haven't because i think connecting with someone a friendship level is far more important than looks.

Saying that, I remember having a friend when I was younger who I am sure only used to take me places because she was prettier than me and I made her even better looking lol Ah well!

Funny I don't really remember choosing friends... They just kind of happen or evolve for me.... lol

Honestly, no. I met most of my college friends because I was in classes with no one I knew and they were alone too so we sort of just got talking or decided to stick together. I honestly go for personality when choosing friends. I'd rather be friends with someone who is deemed conventionally unnatractive but is really sweet than someone who is very pretty but at the same time very shallow.

friendship happens. i never choose my friends by their looks, we are friends because of our personalities.

I could say I choose who are my friends and who aren't... how we met is pure random, but I do pick friends off one by one and not wholly based on looks. I have friends in all different sizes, colors, genders... what may.

I genuinely don't make friends with people because of their looks, I have to get on with them and have the same sense of humour etc. All of my friends are super pretty though

Friends have just kind of happened. I never looked at anyone and decided 'I'm going to be friends with them'. If I get along with someone and enjoy their company then I honestly don't care what they look like.

i base my friendships more on the energy i get from people then on looks. the people that the "world" considers beautiful often times have the most ugly spirits. i couldn't even stand to be in the same room with some of them because their egos suck up all the oxygen. jmho~

When I was younger I did this a lot.. I liked hanging around with a bunch of good looking people...now I make friends by people with the same interests and things like that..I think all my friends are good looking though some are just better looking on the outside and less on the in and vice versa....its a mix

I observe people on the way they act, not the way they look. I like friends who share the same interest with me.
