Smashbox can kiss my grits~
Okay, so I bought this silly jet set creme liner at Nordstrom's while I was in Indy for the Colts game. The Artist put it on me and showed me how, telling me that a "fire hose" couldn't blast this stuff off. Normally, I wouldn't have bought it, but I have horrible allergies and my eye makeup always smears off cuz my eye waters. Long story short- the guy fed me a cock and bull story...this crap comes off with ease. So I wrote smashbox a little email to let them know that I was dissapointed with their product. My letter was very nice and professional. Thought you all might like to know how much they value their customers.
Here's their CS Reps response:
-Susan, that product is supposed to be budge proof and usually the key is in the application. If too much is used then it can smear or smudge because it will not set properly. Be sure that when you are applying it, you spread it evenly over the lid. -
That's it. No sorry for your trouble, no nothing. They simply put the blame on me.I wrote them a scathing letter back (which I won't post here for fear of boring you.)I know how to apply creme liner, and if application is the problem, then wouldn't you think they would train their MA'S better?
It wasn't just my,ahem, unprofessional application that failed.
Nice Customer Service. NOT!!!!

That's terrible, but were you just expecting an apology?

Re: Smashbox can kiss my grits~
An apology would have been great. But why would I deserve and apology? Since it's my fault anyway. LOL!

No, they didn't say that I could. I can ride it back to Indy (1.5 hours away), but I'm thinking that it's not worth the tank of gas. Might just have to chalk it up to a lesson learned.

Re: Smashbox can kiss my grits~
Is there a Nordstrom in your area? If there is they take it back and they'll refund your money/credit. If not, do what I've done: Call Nordstrom and tell them your dilema and tell them you're nowhere near them. They'll have you send it back and credit your account or maybe give you a store credit/certificate. I've done that before and with Nordstrom it's usually a piece of cake. Make sure you ask who to address it to and get insurance on it or a signature verification. It won't cost too much but if you'd rather put that money and effort into your gas tank then just drive out there again. Hope this works for you

Hmm. I had not thought of that. I may try it. Beats being stuck with a $22.00 item that is no good to me! Thanks!

Re: Smashbox can kiss my grits~
I'm sorry that happened to you! I tend to get sucked in to buying things and when I get home the product doesn't work for me.
