Snow!

We are under a winter storm warning here. The National Weather Service is predicting 4-8 inches of snow tonight it will be accompanied with freezing rain and sleet and tomorrow they are predicting 3-5 more inches of snow.

Is it bad that I want it to snow bad enough that school will be cancelled tomorrow, but not bad enough that it will be super nasty? I just really hate schlepping myself out to campus in the nasty white stuff.

I live near the Jersey shore and we're only gonna get a couple of inches then some rain....i want real snow!!! Well at least I'm not going to be getting the !11 inches some parts of upstate NY have.....They're not gonna thaw out till August.

Well half of the time their predictions here are off and the majority of snow seems to miss us. We were talking about the snow in upstate NY today. Yikes! I'm perfectly happy with having two snow days, but no more.

Well some of the schools about 45 miles north of us are already cancelling classes for tomorrow. I just checked the radar and the precipitation should be here soon. I'm stocked up on hot cocoa, soup, and goodies for the girls.

Lisa I would love to make a dirty snow sculpture, but where would I hide it from the girls?

I wish we had snow in Houston. But that's not gonna happen anytime soon. LOL

That's true. My poor brother moved up here from south Texas less than a month ago. He said that he didn't miss the IL snow while he was in TX. Can't say that I blame him.

It has started so far it's just a dusting.

Well there's hardly any snow on the ground so far and they have already cancelled my daughter's school for tomorrow. I hope they cancel classes at my college too otherwise I will have to miss class.

Well we only received a dusting of snow, but the ice we received was enough that my college closed for the day. They're still calling for a lot of snow later today and the counties to the north of me have a blizzard warning.

It was a trip taking the dogs out today. The backyard is a thick sheet of ice, we have tree limbs that have snapped off and our power line is really dragging. So if I don't post much today it's not because I don't love you all it will just be the weather.
