I thought I'd start a thread on dreams and nightmares! I'm so interested in them. What kind of dreams do you normally have? Do you dream at all? Have you ever had a reoccuring dream/nightmare? What's your favorite dream? Worst nightmare you've ever had? Open up your heads to me +

Also, if there is anyone with a dream book, feel free to interpret!

I'm an aspiring actress, so I watch alot of movies and TV. That's just one thing I love and I am most entertained by. So probably about 95% of my dreams have a celebrity in them. Isn't that strange? Like last night the actor (James Roday) from USA's "Psych" was in my dream, probably because that's the last thing I watched before falling asleep (And plus he is FANTASTIC.) Then the night before it was Will Smith. It's so strange. It's an anomoly in my head lol.

My worst nightmare was (I had this when I was like 10) that there was some little pixie or muinchkin, something very mischevious in my house. He was doing all these naughty things like breaking things and such trying to prove to me that he was naughty. But I told him he wasn't! So he told me he'd show me and he disappeared into my mom rooms. I went into my moms room and he was practically DISSECTING MY MOM!! But she was still alive and just looking at me like she felt nothing. It's was the CRAZIEST thing, I woke up CRYING!! I still freak out when I think about it to this day!

Well, I dont have dreams most of the time, but when I do its usually premonitions and the random real dream.

I thought Id give you a recent dream thats been bugging me.Warning: Its pretty long.

Well, it was morning and a school day. I was normall walking to the entrance when all of a sudden I find myself faced to faced with my ex-boyfriend and a friend of mine. I hated his company but didnt show it and I was there for my friend anyway. Thing is, he was dressed different. He had a band shirt and casual jeans. So unlike him, he usually looks like a bisexual frat boy, acts and looks simlilar to Ryan Reynolds( whom I LOVE), and hates metal and rock all together. So it surprised me. The bell rang after some few minutes in conversations. He ended up walking with me like if nothing ever happened (ie, our fights and discussions leading to us going our seperate ways. Oh, if it helps, we never officially broke up. I just stopped talking to him on valentines day.) But I was actually holding an interesting coversation. Once again, not like us cause in reality I couldnt really talk to him like a normal person. I dont know why. I was always quiet; maybe cause we come from different worlds and aspects.

Well anyways, we were already late for class but it was to far away. There was a very tall wall with grooves and the top of that wall was the floor for the second floor. So I decided to climb it and get to class faster. Along the way, I started to fault. He who was right beside me climbing, saw this and worringly kept asking if I wanted to stop and if Im okay and his exact words "Do you need to eat something???" That line startled me because Im frequentley told that I starve myself and dont really eat alot. So my expression was like 'Not you too!' Since Im always getiing biatched about my "eating disorder" as so they say. I just kept climbing but at the top I couldnt pull myself over.

So a rugged handsome guy (my type whos into rock and such) reached over and tried to help me. I was practically at the top but for some reason I faultered again and fell down when I was SO close to reaching the second floor. Eddy (Ex...god I hate that word) was at the floor waiting for me. Apparentley he didnt make it as well.

And thats all I remember Im not sure what it means but I know it means something. I just have a feeling. Well anyways, good luck at reaching the stars as an actress !!! I pursuing the same thing too lol; I have an audition tomorrow so Im pretty psyched and nervous.

All the time. Probably five out of seven days on any given week.

Have you ever had a reoccuring dream/nightmare?
Yes. I don't know why, but there's a guy I keep dreaming about. He's like the star of my dreams and I haven't seen/spoke to him in over two years! I met him in high school but we never really spoke. Then I met him again in college and there we became friends. I think there was an attraction from both ends but it never materialized into anything.

My dreams about him are pretty random. It's usually us talking or just spending time together. But nothing has ever happened. No kissing or anything. I'm not to sure what it's supposed to mean and I can't accept that it's because there's some unfinished business or something because there wasn't one to start with. At least I don't think so!

What's your favorite dream?
The onese where I felt really happy!

Worst nightmare you've ever had?
I was in a room with Drew Barrymore. Everything in the room was white and we were both wearing white. Then the grim reaper came in and stabbed Drew to death. So there was a striking colour of black (grim reaper) and red (Drew's blood) everywhere. Then he turned to me and he started to chase me. I ran as fast as I could and then we had a battle at the top of a cliff and we were pushing and shoving until he fell off the cliff.

It was pretty scary! I was fighting for my life! And I fought so hard!

My dreams are very depressing and dark. If they are supposed to be good, they are bad. Like I keep having this dream where I am bombarded with chocolate and when I wake up I want some but can't find any! It makes me so mad. If they are not that kind, they are very violent. My worst dream ever was when I got into a fight and shot and killed my friend.

Oh gosh, not long ago I used to have reoccuring dreams about some really handsome, amazing guy, but the weird part was that I guess I made this guy up in my head because I'd never seen this guy before in my life! It was weird, and I was always like "I'm gonna see this guy in Wal-mart or something and freak out." But so far, that "dream" man has never emerged in real life!

Supposedly, I heard somewhere LONG ago, we all average up towards 200 dreams per night... It's just a matter of which ones we remember. I've also heard we don't dream in color... The colors we see in our dreams are the ones we believe we're seeing...

As for me, I have totally random dreams. Sometimes they're freaky, and sometimes they're pretty cool... Hell, some mornings I don't even remember what they were about, I just remember having them *lmao*

I dream a lot. The weird thing is I will dream about myself, but I'll be someone else. I'll be young, old, guy, girl. Once I was trapped with hundreds of other people in a wierd water slide maze thing and I became the leader of the trapped. We tried to break out, but I ended up being turned into nuclear waste!! -- I had this dream when I was in college.

For the last couple of weeks my dreams have always about creepy stuff, like seeing a ghost faces on my room wall, having chased by a zombie, watching a serial murder killer killing people and I was one the people. And yesterday fought with Freddy krueger, LOL. I always thought it's because I watched too much scary movie, but I haven't watched any scary movie for like a month now.

I heard that you can't read in your dreams because the dreaming part of your brain isn't the same section as the part you read with. The part you read, that recognizes symbols and letters is asleep. So when you dream you're reading something you're actually trying to wake that other part of your brain up to do the job!

I know the times I've had to read things in my dreams they've been hard to make out...

I dream in colour too! But then again I've had a friend that told me he never dreamt in color, it was always like a black and white movie.

Worst nightmare you've ever had?

lots. nothing i wanna get into, but my most heart-racing nightmares have been things that have happened (or close to) in real life with my abusive dad. things like that.

i dream things that are gonna happen in the future. 2 weeks before 9/11 happened, i dreamt i was in NYC and there were planes flying overhead and into buildings. i dreamt about a plane crashing and that morning i woke up and there was one that crashed in NYC (queens). last week, i had a dream new york was being flooded and this whole week we've had the worst floods ever. i've never seen so much rain in my life. it's actually kinda freaky, so i tell people and i'm like, "...so when it happens, don't be surprised!" LOL

I dream every night & I dream in color. Sometimes I don't remember my dreams but here goes:

Weird ones, like I'll be trying to do something, for instance jump rope. And I can't. I struggle so hard & I can't. Or I'll try to fight someone in my dreams & I'll try to punch someone & I'll swing with all my might & it goes so slow & it hits like a poke. It stresses me out lol. I also dream alot about my ex bf of 3 1/2 years, that we actually get back together.

Have you ever had a reoccuring dream/nightmare?
Yes. I have two which really stand out to me. One is about tornados. In my home state, we have tornado sirens. Well, I'm in my old house & they go off. And we leave & we're in this foreign car. Well we're driving & I seen one & its almost like every time I see one, it doubles the number of tornados that their are. So, it starts as 1, then 2, then 4, then 8 & pretty soon its like you can't go anywhere. Everything all around me is torn down & then I wake up.
The other dream is about SNAKE! I hate them. Well wild ones. So, I'm at my old house once again. And they're surrounding my whole entire house. Like a billion of them ouside, hanging off the deck, hanging from the trees, all over the ground, coming up the windows, EVERYWHERE! Its amazing, like so many different kinds, & colors. Well, we're all trapped inside. And I know it happens liek this everytime. It always happens that they come inside the house & they get in thru the faucets, the toilets, the drains, the registers, anywhere thats pretty much dark & unknown & then I wake up right when they've got my family surrounded on one bed & they're making their way up to us. AHHHH!

Any of them that I have w/ Joey in them (my ex of 3 1/2 years)

Worst nightmare you've ever had?
Okay, I've had 2 that I really remember, that I actually woke up because I was crying in my sleep. I've had some when I was younger, but I don't remember. The two I remember were one was my cousins dad killing my brother & he was going to his house that weekend. Then I had one that my mom died on a plane & she was leaving for Michigan that month. Frightening!!
