Sonic
So, my mom and I decided to just go to Sonic tonight and go through the drive-thru for dinner cause we're tired and hungry. We go through and order our stuff. VERY easy order. 1 chicken finger basket, 1 #6 with a large tater tots and a medium Cherry Limeade.
First of all, we waited in the line for 30 minutes for our food. I am not kidding. We were the first car in line, so it's not like someone ahead of us was being a pain and ordered for an army.
We FINALLY pay and get our food and as we are pulling away, I notice that the tater tots are missing from the bag.
I know this was kind of a mistake on my part, but I pulled back into the drive-thru instead of one of the stalls to tell them that the tots were missing. I get up to the speaker and tell them the tots are not there and she tells me, with cars in front of and behind me, that I need to pull out of the drive-thru and go to one of the stalls. Ummmm.... How am I supposed to do that? There a large curb to the right, the building to the left and cars in front and in back of me. I tell her this and she gets irritated with me!
We then wait and wait and wait some more and finally we get up there to get our tots and she has this major attitude with me, practically shoving the bag in my face.
I'm sorry, I have worked with the public before and I can completely understand how much of a PITA they can be, but come on!

Re: Sonic
pfffft! i mean, i understand that they get a lot of orders and might accidentally forget an item, but her being that rude over some tater tots? pffft, i would've wasted her time by telling her to go get her manager.

I've never been to a Sonic before. I'm sorry you had to experience that, but I hoped you enjoyed your food at least!

Re: Sonic
i wish i had a sonic. although if i did i'd hope the people would be nicer. thats rediculous what you went through.
i always see sonic commercials for their desserts like the banana and vanilla wafer icecream thing and it makes me want one sooo bad then i get mad because we don't have one.

Re: Sonic
That sucks. I hate when people are like that - although I work with cranky customers/patients everyday and it's not easy to keep your cool sometimes. Especially if you're swamped. On a different note - I WISH we had a Sonic here. They always advertise on the cable channels and everything looks sooooooooo good!

Oh yes, I completely understand. I used to work as a cashier and dealt with demanding, cranky grumps everyday, so I know what public service workers go through and I am always polite and patient.
And yes, Sonic is VERY good. I love their desserts.

Re: Sonic
I, too, WISH we had a sonic.
Why put the commercials on our tv channels if we don't have any near us!!! Ahh it's so not fair.

Re: Sonic
I've had some problems like that before at Sonic, but I think it happens quite a bit at any fast food restaurant. It stinks when they get an attitude though, especially when its not your fault. Atleast your food was good!

Re: Sonic
UGH!! That would have been SO irritating!! Sorry girlie
But SHE took that job, so she should expect and be ready for things like that, you know? Plus it was there mistake to have forgotten something. I would have called the manager when I got home LOL!

Re: Sonic
That stinks. I've never had problems with Sonic before (although I get annoyed when I tip a car-hop and they barely mumble a "thank you"). Now Whataburger... that's another story. :P I was a cashier for a while, too, so I try my best to be friendly, but that stuff really drives me nuts.

Re: Sonic
oh man...I wish there was a Sonic in nyc. I visited my cousin in SC during spring break and I made her drive me there every single day for a wk...she finally got fed up with it. lol, but I love the tots! The shakes and desserts are good too. Mmmm...I'm salivating just thinking about sonic. haha
Aside from that, yea sometimes people make mistakes with an order but it was very rude of her to give an attitude. Maybe it was her time of the month, but in any case I totally would've reported her to the manager.
