Sure quiet around here.....
Well the youngest left for college this morning and it is really a change.... My wife and I could do what we wanted, when we wanted.... We went for a long hike this morning... but it sure is quiet around here sometimes....
And the two of them are only 45 minutes away at the same college... so tommorow we are going to their campus for my wife's birthday...... And then Friday to haul some more of his crap to the dorm...
The house is getting cleaner!! lol
But it sure is a change after having kids in the house for 22 years....

Re: Sure quiet around here.....
in australia most people live with their parents throughout university (college) I'm a post graduate student, so if you were an Aussie, it wouldn't be 22 years, it'd be closer to 25! LOL life sentence

Funny thing too.... My wife said she was going to sleep in this morning... so I got up at 6:30 as usual and was very quiet.... Then at 7am... Her cell phone goes off with a text message from the son... "I forgot my cell phone charger... could you bring it with you when you come down"
hahaha You can run but you can't hide!!!

LOL too true! I've been moved out for a couple of years now but i still see my dad every weekend and we manage to go out to eat together at least once a week or once every two weeks. But my oldest sister(28 with a 7 year old) and my two younger brothers (both who are 18 and 20) both still live at home so they're not singing their praises yet lol.

Ha! That is too funny.
In about 2 weeks all my kids will be in school, though the youngest for only half day(kindergarten). I am dreaming of a clean, quiet apartment lol.

Re: Sure quiet around here.....
lol, enjoy it Karren ! same here as in Australia, most of the students stay at home with their parents, especially in the parisian area where the best universities are, but without enough dorms or even apartments for everyone, it's a nightmare !
