Tarot readings
Hey ladies, Gosh I haven't been on here in forever! Anyways Saturday I'm having a lady recommended by a very good friend come over and see what she can read from me, I guess like my vibes or energy and to see if I have any loved ones that have passed on around me. I don't really know what to believe about this stuff, and I finally feel like I'm ready to do this. But my question is, if any of you ladies have done this before, is there like any actions I should avoid? Kind of like not telling her anything about my dad passing and certain things like that, just so I can see what she gets on her own. I guess she is like a spiritual healer and that stuff. And alot of what she has said has been right on with my other friends that have used her.
Its not like Tarot cards really either, I don't know why I put that in the subject line. But anywhoo any suggestions?

Re: Tarot readings
I would offer as little direct info as possible in the begining let her figure it out & dont let your face react they may play off of that. Ive never actually did this but Im sure they are pretty good at reading your expressions when they say certain things.

Re: Tarot readings
One of my freinds's sisters who knew NOTHING about me and never met me before that day read alot about me and it was all true. My freind didnt even know half of the things she mentioned so its impossible she told her. I have a freind at work that has had dreams about me (detailed) and they have come true. I beleive in that stuff, but I think alot of these "fortune tellers" are flakes too! Hope shes a good one!

Re: Tarot readings
Hi schlemmerm3779, Sounds like you are looking forward to your reading. I have a lot of faith in genuine reader's. Sometimes reader's will ask questions just so as they hear your voice as this helps them 'tune in to you' and also, by the end of your reading, you will know if this person is genuine. It sounds like this person is genuine, and you have been given a recomendation. I hope you enjoy your reading and get something from it

Re: Tarot readings
When I was younger I had a tarot card reading done and also a palm reading done. I was at the time concerned about marriage love etc. yes they said I would find my soul mate and sure enough I did, but they both said I would not have any children. I did not give it much thought. that is until I experienced 6 years of infertility with my husband. Weird? we are trying to adopt now.
So, I guess what I am saying is ya never know what is going to be said, even if you have issues you are thinking about, or lead on about. Crazy stuff can come up and you think- yeah right- years later you stop and say hum. weird.

Re: Tarot readings
I had a palm reader tell me I was going to have 5 or 6 kids by different fathers . This was when I was 13 yeah cause thats the kinda stuff you say to a 13 year old. Ive been with Rick a total of 15 years with no kids. We also have no desire to have kids in the future. I think she was mistaken

Re: Tarot readings
i'm too chicken to have any reading done. in my culture, we drink coffee and turn the cup upside-down and there's this one lady in particular my family goes to and she gets EVERYTHING RIGHT ALL THE TIME! first, she read my aunt's cup and said she saw a black rose, which meant death. sure enough, her mom (my grandma) died. then later on, the lady read her cup again and it said she'll be buying a house and in the same week, someone will get engaged. she thought it was crazy because she wasn't even looking to buy a house, nor was anyone close to getting engaged that was close to her. 3-4 years later, they bought a house and in the same week, my cousin (her daughter) got engaged.
good luck and let us know how it goes!
min, that is so funny LMAO

Re: Tarot readings
It sounds like fun! I've always been into that type of stuff but have never really taken it seriously. But I do believe that there are some genuine ones out there so hopefully she is! If she isn't, she'll probably say a bunch of general stuff that can apply to almost everyone like "Oh, your friends find you approachable for advice" or "People are always drawn to your amazing personality." Don't forget to tell us how it went!

Re: Tarot readings
I went to a fortune teller here in Ireland a few years ago with a friend. She's a very famous one over here and I couldnt believe the things she was saying.. All of them were true at the time or have come true since. Ok well maybe not all of them but here's a few things that happened
1. I was very hurt & angry at a boy with the inital B. (I had just broke up with my ex and his name started with B)
2. Someone had passed away about 4 years earlier and i was thinking about it constantly the past few months. (My grandad has passed away 3 years earlier and i was thinking about him way more than usual the few months beforehand)
3. The initials she found by my ring finger are the EXACT initals of my current SO.
4. She said i'd marry a guy with a receding hair line & he will go bald in the future. (Yup that's happening!)
5. She said i was a nun in france in my past life (not so sure about that one!!!)

Re: Tarot readings
There is a palm reader where I live that is supposed to be freakily accurate. My mom had to go to her office to get her to do palm readings at a party a womens club was having (keep in mind my mom does not believe in this stuff). My mom just asked her to come to the party, she wasnt having her palm read, and the lady knew that there had been a tragedy in my family and one of her children had never dealt with or gotten over it. This was my fathers murder (probably 9 years after it happened) and I never spoke about him or remembered much until a few years ago, I blanked it out. She also told my mom she would meet the right man soon, my mom met my stepdad right after that, this was the first man she even dated since she had been widowed. I told a friend of mine this, and they told me she told someone they had a disease in their stomach, they didnt know what she was talking about until they were diagnosed with stomach cancer a few months later.

Re: Tarot readings
I love visiting "Readers" and playing it really cool. I sit and show no emotion just to see what they'll say. Every now and then someone will hit the nail on the head. I have a tarrow card set that I purchased from Borders Books on clearance. It includes a very colorful "how to" book. It's on my cocktail ottoman and makes a nice conversation piece.
