Thanksgiving Memories

What is a noteable memory of your Thanksgiving festivities, whether it be sentimental, funny, serious, food related or what not?

Mine is from a few years ago when my mom, my brother, my son and me went to Michigan (all the way from GA) and my whole family played TABOO (the game) after have "a few" drinks!!

It was a blast. We have it on video. It's hilarious. If you haven't played it, you must. We were supposed to go back to MI this Thanksgiving, but a rather serious incident is preventing us from doing so. So....my mom suprised us with the game this evening. I can't wait to play it.

My best memory is just the total insane overabundance of awesome food. We always had a big get-together with 2 whole families plus my grandparents, and other stragglers would show up...and everyone brought their own 5 course meal, it seemed. Plus about 10 desserts total. Seriously. I look back and I'm just stunned!

Thanksgiving isnt that big round here...i mean, yes we have turkey, but its not a big huge deal, theres no big sales. Its also in mid october. I guess my best memory is last year. My friend and I headed back to the island, we were at school in another province. It was a fun road trip, and the drive back was hilarious. We took a ferry, and the weather was shitty, so it was really choppy. The boat started to tilt to one side, and it near knocked me over. I threw me and my friend had to hold onto the wall, and reach out and grab me, justbefore i was thrown into aother wall.....I love the boat! hahahha. Sorry Im rambling...its really early, Im at work and soooo bored and tired.

i have a semi big family when it comes to the immediate fam. there's about 20-30 people that come over for the holidays. so there's always a lot of food and stuff. and we always joke around with eachother or tease/torture the little kids. lol

Geez, Thanksgiving is usually a holiday I can't remember. I guess this year was probably my most memorable because it was the first year I actually cooked half the meal (along with my mom). It was also memorable because of the amount of food I ate! If I told you, you'd be sick.
