So at about 3pm today, when I was finishing up my lunch and getting ready to start with my afternoon duties my boss comes up to me and says that he knows I'm on lunch, but he and some of the managers need to see me in the conference room. I was afraid they were going to yell at me for being on here on my lunch break or something. No, even better, they called a few other people in and I saw the packets. I was hoping that they were creating a new team with all of us to fill in gaps from layoffs that I've known were coming. Nope, of course not. Today I got laid off, along with 4 other people. The mortgage industry has been super slow, but it still really sucks. I think the 3 of us who'd been there the longest were laid off because we cost too much. Whatevs, they suck. There are a million little tasks that I did that no one else has been trained on at all. They're almost out of a bunch of office supplies and guess who does the ordering?? Hahaha! I'm sad, freaked out, and PO'ed all at once. At least that gives me time to focus on getting my schoolwork done this week.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this! <hugs> It's been a bad day for MuT'ers! I sure hope you can get a new job that you love very soon...but the good news is at least you get to draw unemployment in the meantime, right?

That's true! I'm filing for unemployment in the morning and I'll be laughing at how effed up things will be. I'm the only one who sorts the mail!

if it makes you feel better, i wore new slip on vans (never had worn them before) and i didnt wear socks, so i got like 10 blisters total on both my feet.
