In case you didn't get up at 5am... lol Was wandering all over the neighborhood in my PJ's trying to get the best shot... lol Took a few nice pics....

Aw dang it I missed this thread ...which means I also missed the eclipse! I didn't get up til 5:45 this morning.

I can't wait to see the pics you took.

I dropped a movie and a panarama in my blog at

I got up at 4:45 and took my digital camera and mini tripod out in the driveway but the moon was already behind the trees.. So I wandered down into the back yard in my PJ's and found a nice spot under a tree.. Laid there for half an hour taking photos of the first half of the eclipse and listing to all the strange noises coming out of the woods... Ekkkkk.. Lol

Then when the moon started to go behind the trees again went to the front yard and sat in the street and watched the rest of the eclipse looking under the trees.. The moon turned a blood red as it hit full eclipse but my camera couldn't pick that up.. So I went inside and waited for the rest of the family to wake up..

About 3pm yesterday I started dragging pretty good.. Slept great last night!! Lol. Next one is like in 2008 I think.. I need to figure out how to attach my digital camera to my 8 inch telescope!!!

Yes, thank you for sharing! Can you believe I was actually up and working at that ridiculous time?!? On a conference call overseas. That's why I missed it. I love watching out for outer space events like that!
