Yesterday while listening to the radio in my car, I heard something interesting.

Since it's looking like Obama will land the DEM nomination, everyone is pretty convinced that it's a long shot for Obama to pick Hillary for her Veep. But...some people are saying that McCain is considering Hillary for his veep. Wow!

Would that be a "shoe in" for the election? I think that may put him in. Any way you shake it, the election will be close with Obama vs MCain with Obama prevailing in the end (yay higher taxes!! lol) prolly 46 Obama - 44 McCain

I highly doubt a Republican and Democrat would run on the same ticket. That would be unheard of. I don't think Hillary would do it for either candidate. Obama or McCain. He'll more than likely have some right wing conservative to appease that evangelical group that they say is unhappy with his "renegade policies", as they call it. Also...the higher taxes would be on the wealthy, Tony, not on the middle class. The wealthy get too many tax breaks as it is. My opinion, of course.

I don't think it's so unheard of. McCain has a history of working closely with Democrats (specifically Kennedy). Considering how divided our nation is right now, I'm sure there are probably people out there that would cling to the hope of unity provided by a McCain/Clinton ticket.

hey remember a time when VP meant nothing.. Does anyone remember Dan Quayle? Gore had somewhat of a role with Clinton and Cheney well he was the puppetmaster maybe? But for a long time VP was a place that was largely ceremonial.
