Re: Access to Medications

I like Obama's POV - here in Brazil, the generics were a great advance - it made TONS of medications much cheaper, and by being cheaper, made the 'name brands' become cheaper as well.

Re: Access to Medications

I find it odd that any politician would be critical of medication coming from Canada. It is just as healthy as American medication and is considerably less expensive.
Is the politician caring more about his/her constituents or the lobbyist that help fund their campaign?

Re: Access to Medications

They're only critical of meds coming from Canada because the Pharmaceutical lobbyists are paying their campaigns big money to be critical of it. The whole health care system in this country is fu#&ed up imo and it needs a major overhaul. I just hope WHOEVER wins has the balls to make it happen.

Re: Access to Medications

Sicko was partially filmed in my community - London, Canada and was premiered here as well.
I think that Americans with no health coverage are thrilled with Mike Moore.
But the rest of Americans couldn't care less or were even upset with Mike Moore.
IMO All Americans need to work together to get health care similar to Canada's, not just the ones that desperatly want it.
