Definitely sounds like a strategic move having a woman as his choice for VP. I wonder what this will mean...whether people will embrace the idea or not. It might help bring over some more of the Hillary supporters that were on the fence...

Yea those were exactly my thoughts. I know she has a son who has down syndrome which will probably bring up a lot of the abortion talk and she also has a son that is being sent to Iraq next month. This will be interesting for sure.

This is great and I am excited! I think he made a smart choice, she brings a lot to the campaign. I listened to her speech and she is impressive. Though it was insightful to hear she has more experience than Obama. She's has executive experience and doesn't seem give a d*m* about the party politics. I'd say she's going to make this very competitive.

this is certainly an interesting development. Think about it this way. This election is historic from the standpoint that either an African American will be President or a Woman is Vice President.

Hopefully she is fully vetted and there's no skeletons that will force her to drop out. (eg. hired illegal nannies, past political dealings etc.) You know every aspect of her life will be fully checked out by the press.

I think the average person thinks this is great, including me, but i already have heard some rumblings from the right wing of the Republican party that she is not conservative enough for their tastes.
