Does anyone know of any nice purple MAC shadows that would compliment brown eyes? Or any shadows for that matter.
I'm totally afraid to try dark colors because i fear they will take away from my face....

Any suggestions?

Satellite Dreams is gorgeous and iridescent (Deep dirty plum with violet/blue reflects, Veluxe Pearl) and so is Purple Haze (Intense purple, Matte) if you want a matte option as well. Any shade of purple looks gorgeous on almost anyone's eye colour, you just gotta pick what kind of texture you want.

I think it depends on a lot of things, including your skin tone and hair color. Its also very difficult to recommend colours simply for "brown eyes", considering the variety you can get in brown eyes. Light, dark, warm, bright, and size is also a factor too!

Mostly, I'd choose colours to flatter your skin tone. To open your eyes up, curl your lashes with a lash curler, and then put on lengthening mascara. Greens and bronzes generally go well with brown eyes, as well as plums, but again, it all depends on your skin tone, as most purples look really horrible on me, despite what they may bring out in my eyes.

I have 'big brown eyes' and dispite what I always thought, I have been smuging them with grey/coal eyeshadow and have really been loving the effect.

some nice mac purples that i like for my brown eyes are Parfit amour, beautiful iris, Violet pigment, Lovely lily pigment, star violet. Though one bad thing i notice with MAC's purples shadows IMO some of them have bad colour pay off esp Beautiful iris and stars n rockets imo. My fave purple ever from mac if you could ever find one as it was LE a couple of years back is leisuretime e/s

I think both deep and light shades of purple are beautiful on brown eyes. Try Laura Mercier Eye Quad in Wild Violet or Jane Ireland Eye glassin Mauve Silk. Price won't break you up either.

I think any colour can go well enough with brown eyes. Riskier colours like a flashy lime green even yellows (can bring out golden tones in your brown eyes !). any pink is a defenitly in my opinion, especially with some shimmer. I defenitly stay away from anything plain white on my eyes though ! But regardless just play around with colours blend and mix colours together for a custom cute shade too !
