MAC Technakol liners, how do you keep them sharp?

I like them, but am starting to find them annoying to use.

Re: MAC Technakol liners, how do you keep them sharp?

MAC has their brand of sharpener that works really, really good.

I was using a cheap-o NYC sharpener for years, but it always left it jaded and round, not pointy. So I got the MAC one because it's made specifically for their creamy liners and such, left all of my different brand of liners sharp. It cost $3 and there's 2 different sizes.

They aren't a standard pencil liner. They are in a plastic case that you twist up for more product. You can sharpen that?

Re: MAC Technakol liners, how do you keep them sharp?

i very rarely need to sharpen the twisty pencil liners, but when i need to sharpen liners like that, i just set the tip at an angle with some slight pressure on a paper towel and rotate the pencil. it doesn't get it super sharp like a sharpener would, but it does the job.

Re: MAC Technakol liners, how do you keep them sharp?

I never sharpen my twist up Revlon Colorstay eyeliners either. The way I use them they just sort of form into a slant that works for me, hard to explain lol. BUT if I ever need to sharpen them, the Revlon one has a little sharpener built into the back of it that works perfect. Maybe you should grab one of those, I find they have more staying power than Technakols, they are cheaper, and the sharpener is great, just not as many fun colors, only the standard grey brown and black I think. But maybe you could use their sharpener for your technakols right.

^^ I might try that. I have really liked the Revlon Color Stay products I have tried so far.
