Parisian Girl Help- That means you Magosienne!!!

So my friend is off to Paris for a few days and I want her to buy me cosmetic/skincare stuff that I can't find here in the States...
What do you recommend?

I'm thinking ALL price ranges. I want some super steals and some super splurges.

Re: Parisian Girl Help- That means you Magosienne!!!

LOL !! it's funny, i think i'm hearing someone calling me ....

hmm, let's see. first, if you like chocolate, ask for some Kinder

in terms of makeup :

you could go for staples, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, MUFE... [Sephora ]

*definitely go for Bourjois (single eyeshadows [i like the pressed best], the eyeliners called "khol&contour" or "liner métallic"). can be found in supermarkets (Monoprix, Carrefour, Auchan, Champion...) or Sephora (but they're cheaper at Sephora !!).

*l'oréal, had to mention it, she'll find that brand almost everywhere, it's an invasion (lol).

*Arcancil

*Deborah

*Artdeco (only saw that stuff at the Galeries Lafayette)

*Debby, nice flavored lipglosses

in terms of skincare :

*La Roche Posay Anthelios fluide extrême (HG sunscreen, had to mention it lol);the moisturizers are good. oh, and Posthelios, great aftersun.
[can be found in a pharmacy, or what we call "parapharmacie", she can look for shops called Parashop, that's where i find most of my skincare stuff].

*in a pharmacy : a big tube of Biafine, HG for burns (you don't need a prescription and it costs only a few euros).

*Uriage : the water makeup remover is my favorite ; if you have combo skin, the range Hyséac has nice moisturizers and a nice toner. Cu-Zn crème if you have eczema.

*Le Petit Marseillais - Baume nourrissant peaux très sèches (huile d'argan, beurre de karité, huile d'amande douce) [supermarket]. my favorite bodycream from a supermarket.

*Ushuaïa shower gels, they smell so good and are my favorite [supermarket].

*Garnier body moisturizers, Body cocoon, Body repair [supermarket].

*don't forget neutrogena & nivéa, they can easily be found in supermarkets.

*if you really have money to spend, go at L'occitane. they have great products, i just wished for the price they were organic.

*Weleda - organic brand, one of the cheapest

*Lavera - their lipbalms are so great.

*Cattier - gommage visage à l'argile blanche (white clay facescrub, love it) [parapharmacie, healthfood store]

*Argiletz, THE brand if you like clay [ parapharmacie, healthfood store]

*Nuxe, of course. definitely the "rêve de miel" lipbalm. if you really want to spend money, go for the moisturizers [parapharmacie].

*Bioderma - get a bottle of Nodé, very gentle shampoo [parapharmacie].

*Clarins, pricey but if you spotted some products...[parapharmacie, Sephora]

*Evian affinity, their face moisturizers are good [supermarkets]

*Rogé Cavaillès, great soaps [parapharmacie]

*Scholl, they have great stuff for your feet [supermarkets]

*Avène [parapharmacie]

Now, i would advise her to go at the Champs Elysées, biggest sephora of the country.
the Galeries Lafayette (or Printemps, le Bon Marché) are always crowded and very expensive and "bourgeois", so i wouldn't advise her to buy everything there.
as a true parisian girl, i will also advise her to use the underground (she can go here for special underground tickets for tourists).
