What color eyeshadow would best flatter brown eyes? I ordered an urban decay eyeshadow, which i love the texture and overall quality, but the color doesn't really work for me. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I think with brown eyes you can wear almost every color.

from UD i have Sting (deluxe shadow), a bit hard to use in a combo as it is very 80's for me, a d/c gold e/s and Kiddie Pool, i love that blue color.
i also recommend you check out Midnight cowboy, it's not their best seller for nothing. it's a champagne e/s that will make your eyes pop in an instant.
you can also check the new looks for spring, the model Cory has brown eyes.

for a soft look i go for pink (pale), bronze, a pale turquoise, a mineral e/s from Fyrinnae quite close to midnight cowboy (Shinkirou).
for a bold look, i go for blues, greens, purple, orange, yellow, black and combine all of these colors.
i use either a copperish brown or black eyeliner (and use either black or dark brown mascaras).
the only e/s i can't wear are brown and red, i don't like how they look on me.

You look great in your av pic. When choosing eyeshadow look at your skin tone as well as your eye color. But there is no-thing like trying before buying.

I have brown eyes, and just about every color I have tried looks good on me, even brown!

I have brown eyes too! What makes them pop out? A bronze eyeshadow, and purple eyeliner.

I have brown eyes and to be honest as the others have said any colour works, though i really find greens & purples make my eyes really pop

Really any colour works, brown is a neutral colour so it's all gonna look good! If you really want your eye colour to pop and stand out though, use blues. They contrast brown so they stand out more. Same thing works in reverse... if you have blue eyes, brown and bronze shades will make them stand out.

I agree completely. I normally stick to dark browns but was surprised that Stila's La Douce (a green/dark olive colour with golden specks) works really well.

Brown eyed girls are soooo lucky. You can wear any eyeshadow that you choose because brown is a netural color.

I've been told plum works.

Though maybe that's only dark brown eyes?

I have very dark brown eyes and pale skin. Usually I wear the neutral brown/creams from Bobby Brown, but there are some other options for more dramatic looks:

* Line with black pencil, then do majority of eye in a light creamy colour, and use moss green on the lids

* For a real sparkle (note, I thought this was going to look hideous but I love it) I have a Prescriptions combo of a pale cream for the brow area, and then I use their electric blue on my lid. It totally makes brown eyes look incredible!

Other combos I like are pink & grey, and cream (brow area) and gold (lid).

I have dark brown eyes and NC 25 skin tone and I've found that pinkish purple and turquoise/aqua are the two colors that make my eyes pop the most.
