Recs for my mom?

yall... my mom really suprised me by asking me what makeup she shouild buy... she either wants to guy to a department store or ulta to get a foundation. I'm wondering what would be good for her skin? She is 48 and has rosacea. I don't know if MAC or smashbox or anything like that would be good for her..? She says she wants something that is easy and fast to put on, and will last throughout the day. She says she doesnt want to have to fool with her makeup. She is actually looking to replace all her makeup, but I think foundation is her top priority. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. =]

Re: Recs for my mom?

Have you tried some of your Sweetscents foundation on her? If she likes the way it looks and feels on her, she might not mind the fact that it may take a little longer to apply than traditional non-MMU foundations.

I'm 44 and I have lots to conceal/cover and MMU is the best foundation I've used. It lasts all day and even holds up perfectly through sweaty gym workouts.

Do you have a Prescriptives counter in your area? Take her there--they can color print her and find her exact match, and even do custom blends to find just the right shade, adding certain colors to reduce the redness from her rosacea.

Re: Recs for my mom?

If at MAC, I would suggest trying their mineralize foundation loose.

My favorite long lasting foundation is Dior's Forever Flawless foundation.

I agree with Rebbierae. Find a professional to give your mom a one-time consultation, and after that she'll be able to do it herself with confidence. Try looking through a listing like this one and see if you can find someone in your area.

This is probably too late, but DiorSkin is really beautiful for all ages. SPF 25 doesnt hurt either. It just looks really natural and good on everyone and its worth every penny.
