Lowes Haul... New Washer and Dryer
So we walked into Lowes today and there was a 10% off on washers and dryers in stock... So I finally talked her into getting a new set since the old one was 18 years old and both having problems... (Was like pulling teeth!!!) We got the base models in white, front loaders with the bottom storage pedestals (pedestals not shown below)... by GE

They are still out in my truck.... I have to wait till my son gets home to help me unload them cause they are so heavy!!!
So now I get to rip out the old ones and install the new ones AND finish the french doors this weekend...

Fun stuff Karren! I hear the front-loading washing machines are MUCH better than top-loading. I can't believe YOU had to convince your wife into new ones... It would totally be the other way around in this house LOL!

It's the same way here too. I told Big Daddy my first big purchase after finishing nursing school will be a front loading wash machine and a matching dryer. A matching set of appliances and I will be their first owner. Aaaah I can't wait!

Re: Lowes Haul... New Washer and Dryer
It's funny, she has been delaying it for a long time and i've been pushing for new ones... The dryer started acting up last week... wouldn't shut off when the clothes were dry... So we went to Lowes to get a piece of wood and walked past the appliances... I said.. "Look, they are on sale and we have the truck!!" lol
Damn washer weighs a ton.... All he stockboy and I could do to lift it up into the truck... And at 54.5" tall it just fit under the shelving I put in 20 years ago... talk about planning!!! lol

Re: Lowes Haul... New Washer and Dryer
Nice washer and haul Karren!
I love my energy efficient front loading washing machine. It's really good at cleaning clothes and not as noisy compared to my old top loader.

Re: Lowes Haul... New Washer and Dryer
 Thanks Rebecca!!
Well they are all installed... Here was the process... Got everything unloaded into the garage and had to put them together... add the electrical plug to the dryer and move out the old ones...
and what a mess in the garage...
Before and After....
It's a completely new way to wash clothes.... way different than the old tub and adgatator system... Got to write a separate review on the new one soon...
