this thread was so cool. first that looks like my cat, Jazz in the pic. I know its not of course and he would look a that thing and refuse to use it. He would probably stand and watch it and bat that silly grating as it went by. He's 17 now so we pretty much let him do whatever he wants.

He's 17? oh god, that is old! is he still playful? i find that old cats wont even chase a ball when thrown at them or away for them to get it, its like they dont feel like doing anything anymore they just sit or lay there looking at you like, "what? you expect me to go get that, i dont think so"
Anywho, i think this cat genie thing is more for celebrities than regular people, too expensive, you're better off using a plastic scoop to get the pewp out of the box lol

in fact Jazz's birthday was this past Tuesday. We used to have his brother Figaro (get the opera reference) too but unfortunately Figaro died about 3 years ago. Jazz is doing well despite the fact he has some type of kidney problem. We tried putting him on this special diet (food was $$$) but he wouldnt eat a bite so he went back to his regular diet and has been doing fine (plays, goes outside, is sociable) .

i forgot to mention i have a friend who taught his cat how to go on the toilet. The cat actually learned how to do his business and get everything in the bowl. It supposedly saw something about covering the bowl with plastic and then eventually the plastic wasn't necessary. The cat never obviously got the idea about flushing.
Our cat, Jazz has gotten strange in his old age, I mentioned the toilet sometimes he will hear the noise and come running only to stop and watch the toilet bowl. The other thing he might do is if you are in the shower he will poke his head in and watch you. How strange. But all these things he just started doing within the last year.
