cleaning makeup off desk

my makeup station is just a section of my desk which has a black top. And somehow I get specks on liquid foundation on it, and on one spot there's just this unknown gunk spot, and I've had enough of it, I'm not sure how to get it off. I just cleaned the top with some dish detergent and they are all free of those little dark spots (oils) but the foundation specks still remain as well as that strange spot. are there anything I can find around the house to clean it off while I'm still in my cleaning mood. lol thanks!

Personally I'd just wait till your cleanning mood subsides then everything will be good!! Lol.

Is it a black painted surface, melimin, formica or ebony stained wood?

Haha, it actually has subsided. And I've already gotten my fingerprints all over it again, but it is a black painted surface. any suggestions would be great

oo toner, didn't think of that. I've used a makeup cleansing towellette before but that didn't work out too well either. It's revlon colorstay btw incase anyone was looking for some long wearing foundation with GREAT staying power lol
