Does anyone still iron?
In the days of wrinkle free clothes, Downy Wrinkle Release and lax dress codes.....I just wondered....do you still iron?

Re: Does anyone still iron?
I HATE ironing with a passion so I take our stuff to the cleaners when it needs to be pressed.

Re: Does anyone still iron?
i absolutely despise ironing! i try to buy clothes that don't need ironing and if something is seriously wrinkled in the closet, it sits there for mos. before I'll wear it just coz I don't wanna iron it.
i got traumatized at a young age w/ ironing. I used to have to help me mom iron and WHAT? we had to do everything, sheets, pillowcases, tea towels, hankerchiefs, yuck

Re: Does anyone still iron?
yes, every time I do laundry I iron all of my pants. It makes my old clothes look new, so I feel more confident in them. I sew, so I have all kinds of pressing equipment (steam iron, tailor's ham, sleeve rolls, velvet boards, clappers, etc.). I actually like ironing, it's one of my favorite chores (I'd rather iron than cook).

Re: Does anyone still iron?
OMG..........yes everyday, every outfit even my uniforms!!! I hate wrinkles. I like my stuff to be crisp not just wrinkle free. I try every now and then to leave the house w/o ironing a tshirt, but I always hit the iron before I leave!!!!
I have it permanently set up in my laundry area.

Re: Does anyone still iron?
Yes, I have yet to find a button-up shirt that doesn't wrinkle terribly... And that Downy Wrinkle Release never works on them either! However, I own about half a dozen button-ups and I wear one or two a week, and so I always end up going several weeks without ironing then I have a little ironing marathon and iron it all at once! lol
Hubby also has a few shirts that wrinkle, but most of his don't -- I am jealous!

Re: Does anyone still iron?
I've never heard of Downy wrinkle release, I should try it! I delicate wash and hang dry most of my clothes, I think it helps keep them wrinkle free.
I don't have any problem with my button up shirts wrinkling, but they've all got some stretch, so maybe stretchy shirts (cotton/spandex) are the ones you gals want?

Re: Does anyone still iron?
Iron, what's that?! LMAO j/k
I only iron work clothes, and even then I take as many to the dry cleaners as possible! I'm a 100% iron-free cotton kind of girl! I HATE ironing!!! Heck, I didn't even own an ironing board until about a year ago! I always had my daughter's godmother iron my clothes for me LOL
