I don't have many candles around here at Green head HQ, but these cool new Flameless Wax Sensor Candles ($20) caught my eye. These look just like real scented wax candles, but without a real flame. You light the candle with a simple wave of your hand, which activates two dual LED lights that flicker like a flame inside. It's safer than a real candle, it has a 100 hour battery life, 100,000 hour bulb life and comes in assorted scents. Kinda cool for a candle. I'm getting one for the dashboard of my truck. 6" pillar flameless candle is made of 100% real wax. Dual LED lights simulate the gentle flicker and light of a candlewick. LED bulbs last 100,000 hours of continuous use. 4 AA batteries give your flameless candle 100 hours of life. ![]() Source

somewhat creepy, but I like the fact that they must be safe for kids!

Re: Flameless Wax Sensor Candles – Real Wax, Real Scent, No Flame
those are really cool, sometimes just the flame burning somehow erases the perfume of the candles in the air, and i wonder what's the point of having scented candles if you can't smell them ?
