Arrow Get Mildew Stains Out of Clothes

Q Oops! I left my baby's dirty clothes in the laundry basket with wet washcloths. The clothes had already been through the washer and dryer before I noticed small, pinpoint-sized mildew stains. Any suggestions?

A Items that are white or colorfast can be washed with chlorine bleach, which is the most effective mildew remover. Otherwise, soak the clothing in warm, soapy water and borax. If that still doesn't produce results, combine 1/4 teaspoon of bleach for colored clothing (oxygen, not chlorine bleach) and 1/4 cup of three-percent hydrogen peroxide (the kind used for medicinal purposes, not for bleaching hair). With a clean cloth, gently rub the stain until it's gone. Launder the garment and dry in the sun if possible.
