I've been looking for a home bar. Just like a small one, like everyone had in the 50s. I've searched local furniture stores and some larger stores like JC Penney and such, and found nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

my family used to have one of those. i think they're so nice. now that i think of it, i've never seen it anywhere in the stores! i hope you find it!

why don't you try going to a bar/restaurant supply store?

welcome to my world... i have found those cool 50s bar tables (its my kitchen table) for like $75 im just looking for 2 matching chairs for them. as for the bars, they have them in some places ive seen online, but theyre so so so pricey. im going to thrift and antique stores at the moment to find one of those really awsome 50s tea/bar carts. if all else fails, making one i know is not too hard (just need room for it which i dont).

I know in Texas my aunt and uncle had one bulit into their homes.
They also used to have what were called *Baptist Bars* which looked basically like a large credenza but which in fact *hid* the liquor inside. I know these were (are?) prevalent in the Southern US, and maybe could be found either online at good ol' E-Bay....shipping, LOL?....or at an antiques dealer/ thrift store. How cool that Violet (retro-violet) found one!
We have a large globe and when you open it....Voilà..there's your bar!
