Top-Mount Fridge/Freezer or Side-by-Side?

Okay, I'm hoping everything goes well with getting this house. Assuming it does, we need to get a stove and a fridge. I already know it has to be a gas stove, so that's not a big deal. However, I'm debating on whether or not to get a top-mount freezer/fridge or a side-by-side... Any suggestions or opinions? Thanks chicas!

Re: Top-Mount Fridge/Freezer or Side-by-Side?

I've used both before and I would say side by side. The top-mount freezer/fridge was becoming a problem for me because I'd spill things all the time and since I used the fridge more,I didn't like always having to kneel or bend over to get things. Side by side is easier for me to get things and to clean lol

We just bought this one. Kick ass fridge! Was a bit expensive at $3,000 or so...

The Subzero freezer is kinda pimp tho.

Definitely nice Tony! I've also thought about getting one w/ the bottom freezer, but I figured top-mount or side-by-side would possibly be better for now... As you can tell, I have no idea what I'm doing *lol*

Re: Top-Mount Fridge/Freezer or Side-by-Side?

I just bought the Whirlpool fast fill side by side. It has a lot of space in it, the ice is in the door, and it has a lot of cubbies for different items.

http://www.whirlpool.com/catalog/pro...&productId=537

The salesperson at Best Buy said she had sold 3 the week before of this model. She said it was really a popular model.

That's a nice one too! Man, there's so many styles and brands! I know we're going stainless steel since the house already has a built in stainless steel dishwasher. We gotta get a stove too... The joys of it all!

Re: Top-Mount Fridge/Freezer or Side-by-Side?

I don't have a house lol. But my parent's home is too small for a side-by-side, and they have a top-mount fridge that's pretty awesome. I'm pretty sure this brand isn't sold in the US though. Sorry!
