What are you planting in your garden this summer?

My garden will consist of hibiscus, canna lilies, calla lilies, marigolds, petunias, 1 plumeria and some other undecided plants/flowers. I also have 4 rose bushes and plan on adding another one. In my vegetable garden I will plant beefsteak tomatoes, onions, green pepper, chives. My rhubarb from last year is already growing into a monster. Yay for summer and gardening!

we are a purely herbal gardening household. my husband hates pulling out the annuals when the die... so we will be replacing the herbs that didnt make it- the basil, the tarragon, and the parsely.

Parsnips, carrots, potatos and sunflowers. It's the first year the garden has actually been planted rather than be left to grow weeds so we're not putting too much in this year.

Re: What are you planting in your garden this summer?

I have a lot of transplanting to do because of some landscaping changes we're having done to the yard/house.

Today I relocated a bunch of peonies, hydrangea (chiffon) and 2 butterfly bushes.
I also planted a bunch of hollyhocks.
Tomorrow I need to relocate another butterfly bush and about 8 hydrangeas (5 Ayesha and 3 Pia.)
I also have 5 more peony bushes I need to plant.

I have no clue what I'll be putting in my planters yet...if I'll even do them since we're planning on redoing our back patio.

Re: What are you planting in your garden this summer?

Besides the flowering perrienials, whiich we have a lot of, I planted geraniums, begonias, petunias, Cosmos, and impatients... . Did notice the deer ate 3 new Rotadendrums.... Grrrrrrr..

Veggies include onions, peas, carrots, garlic, beets and potatoes...

Everything is doing well so far but the bout of hot weather has forced me to water daily...
