I think it's because you still have to post a certain amount after you "apply" I think mine was like 30 more posts or days I can't recall.

BTW people, here are the rules for the Adult forum:

# user minimum post count(30 posts min to be able to apply)
# minimum time on MUT (15 days as a member)

There is no "posting after you apply" rule
