Brow question...

Well, kinda... For those of you who have hairs above your brows, which kinda mess up the whole "clean" look, how do you get rid of them? Or do you even bother? Something tells me plucking might not come out right, and though those Ardell brow razors are tempting, I haven't heard the best things about them. My only other thoughts are bleaching the hairs, or using hair removal cream on them (using a Q-tip). I'd love to get my brows threaded, but there isn't anyone in the area that does threading!

Re: Brow question...

I have some on the top that just don't fit... More towards the outside... I tried plucking more underneath that area to push my e/b up but it just didn't look right so I pluck them... Its a pain but the results work for me...

Don't do the razor thing! I don't have experience with it, but when I was looking this up, a lot of girls seem to regret doing it a lot.

Re: Brow question...

I have a lot of hair on my face (the hairs are fine). The hair above my eyebrows are fine baby hairs and I have thick dark hair and my eyebrows are the same. I have had my eyebrows threaded, which is best for me, since the area above my brows tends to be sensitive to the wax. But finding a place to get them threaded has been difficult due to schedule conflicts and distance. With all said, I get them waxed. The look is the same. I wax above and below the brow and the look is clean seamless.

Re: Brow question...

Re: Brow question...

I'm trying to grow out my brows a bit now, so I try not to pluck the hair above my brows. Sometimes it's too tempting though, but then I make sure to pluck only the hair that is noticibly above the actual brow shape.

Yeah, I ended up plucking them. You can't really tell in pics, but they do kinda throw off my brow shape... Now, they look pretty polished. Now, I do have some hair from where the hairline along my temples (from the outer corner of the brow up) meets... Those I'm debating on bleaching... I'm just afraid I'll do that and look weird LOL!

Re: Brow question...

It's almost as if my brows connect with my baby hairs - lol lots of dark hair. I waxed above my brows a few days ago and wish I hadn't. Although they look better than ever and definitely more 'clean' - it's starting to get lil ingrowns. I'll try exfoliating everyday and see if that helps but if not - I think bleach will be the next avenue for me!

That's exactly what I'm talking about! If I bleach, and my camera still has any charge, I'll take before & after pics.

Yah, I'd love to see the results of bleach! In the meantime - I'll keep exfoliating! LOL

Re: Brow question...

I just pluck them or cut them. I'd get it threaded but I'm too lazy!

Yeah, those long, curly brats get cut LOL! Mine curl, which makes it even more annoying! And some curl down... My brows are a PITA all together LOL!

Re: Brow question...

I used to get my brows threaded and loved the result (also less painful and irritating than waxing) but it's kind of pricey. The girl I go to is super-great (she's rated one of the best in Toront) but it's hard to justify paying $30 every 2 weeks to upkeep my brows.

So, now I resort to plucking whenever there are noticeable hairs above my eyebrows (which is quite a lot as I have a low hairline)
