Do You Enjoy Being Pampered?

I was at the hairdressers this afternoon and I HATE having to go to the hairdressers. Especially when I'm getting my hair dyed (I daren't dye it at home 'cos I had a bad allergic reaction before) and I just have to sit there for aaaages. I just get so bored and you get a stiff neck from reading the magazines out of boredom and I'm sitting there thinking "This is so irritating!"
Then, I heard a women across the room from me getting her hair done say "Oh, I love all this stuff! It's so relaxing!"
Erm, excuse me, what?!
Maybe it's just me but I just find people pampering me not relaxing at all. I'd rather do my own hair or make-up. And I definatley wouldn't be able to go to a spa and have a treatment. I'd be so bored, I'd only last a few minutes. Maybe, I'm incapable of relaxing lol

Gawd no, im like you Katie, i'd much rather do it myself, i know what i want, i treat myself nicely, at least i know what not to do to not mess up, and i do whatever i need and want when its necessary to myself. Most of these "experts" know nothing about making people feel good, and they mess up your hair big time too! never get your haircut right, etc etc. no....i'd rather do it all myself haha! I dye and cut my hair myself anyways, im so happy that way LOL

I love being pampered. I even love having my eyebrows waxed. I'm such a girl!

Im the complete opposite, i love it

I love having my hair done, even if i do get stuck in the hairdressers for aout 3 hours. Have my nails done every two weeks and enjoy that. Have yet to go to spa but its deffo on my to do list, i love the thought of sitting back, relxing and being pampered.

Not at all.

When I get my hair cut, I'm always afraid they're going to screw it up.

And I don't even get makeovers since I don't like people touching my face. lol.

Lol me neither! I always flinch away so they can't touch my face

& I know what you mean about getting your hair cut professionally Nury. I've never had a haircut I like, ever. & a couple of months ago the hairdresser cut 3 inches off my hair when I asked for a trim

. I was trying to grow my hair and I was devestated lol

The only pampering I like are massages! Aaah, I'm in heaven when I get full body massages.

I can't stand it! I hate it when people do my make up at the department stores and when i get my hair done. I always feel that they're gonna do something i don't like.

There are some treatments I enjoy, massage and facials, though getting my hair done can be a drag, I do enjoy it, though sometimes it can become a chore, I know what you mean about the hairdressers, if you have to sit there for 2 hours, it can become tedious! Things like manicures and pedicures are different though, you can talk to the therapist and that way it's not so boring, some treatments can drag though!

I enjoy getting my nails done when the technician is a friend of mine, otherwise I get a little uncomfortable. I don't get my hair professionally done, but I would love to go somewhere and just have my head rubbed, lol.

I like the shorter treatments, and if I have the time to sit there and relax its lovely, but what with my job and uni, I can't really enjoy it since I'm stressing about other things I have to do...

when my sister and I went to thailand we spent every evening getting massages. Now THAT was awesome, we almost fell asleep! LOL

No not at all. After my last hair fiasco I'm going to have to decide whether to try and trust some wacko with scissors or just to do it myself. I'm seriously thinking of growing out to a style that I can cut on my own. As far as other pampering I can give myself a kick ass scalp massage and that is my favorite way to be pampered. I do my own pedi's and my big girl gives the absolute best foot massages.

I love being pampered! I really like massages, any kind. I think that is the best part of a haircut is the scalp massage when they shampoo! I love getting a manicure and pedicure,although I have been doing my own nails all summer since I learned how to do the french tip. I dont mind getting a makeover but I dont like having the MA put anything on my lips. I do agree with you about the hair dye, it takes forever and I do get bored and the smell really gets to me. So no more hair dye for me till Im all grey.

i never minded getting my hair dyed professinally (but thats been like only 3x in my life).

otherwise the one time i got a "facial" (i was in nordstroms and if was during their fall preview season thing) that was really nice.
