Drugstore Self Tanner?

HI!
I was just hoping someone could help me with buying a drugstore self tanner? You see, I sort of got tanned. Only problem was that I was wearing a regular shirt and not a tank top. It was a school thing, so i couldn't. Anyway, the lower part of my arm looks darker than the upper part. And i have to wear a dress (spagetti straps) so i really need a good self tanner. ANd something that won't make me orange! LOL! SO any help would be great!!! Thanks!!!

Re: Drugstore Self Tanner?

I usually use Jergens Natural Glow Express. It works pretty quickly (a few days) but it's not a "fake" colour. I always use it to even out weird tan lines and the smell is pretty good compared to some of the other self-tanners I've tried.

Re: Drugstore Self Tanner?

Not drug store stuff but they sell this stuff at some of our local beauty supply stores here. It works awesome! I haven't tried much drugstore stuff recently because I am hooked to this stuff. Tried many brands in the past. This is the BEST stuff i've ever tried! Gives you an instant tan, dries quickly and is a dark brown color so its fail proof for streaking. Also try Tomas Tan Perfect, work well too. < found this at Sallys Beauty Supply. I don't know if you have one where you are.

This is a website you can get it from. http://sunlaboratories.com/shopping.html

Make sure you exfoliate really well before applying.

Re: Drugstore Self Tanner?

I second Jergens. I also love Olay Touch of Sun, or one by St. Ives which I can't rememeber the name of. All of them worked well and smelled good though. No orange or splotches!

I have to disagree with Brewgrl, my friend used Loreal Sublime Mist and she looked orange like an oompa loompa! She was also splotchy, as the mist missed some spots, and she strongly smelled like the tanner for days. I would not recommend it lol.

Really? that's a shame! maybe we were using two different ones! I should have been more specific- i like Sublime Glow- it's the one that let you gradually build. I think when you are getting drugstore tanner, the key is to find ones that are gradual.

Yes for sure, get something gradual. You will look real and tanned in a week. Anything that says it will work in a day or two, you run the risk of becoming orange.

I don't think my friend used the gradual one. She was dying to get a tan right away. She was also pretty pale to begin with, but she picked up the medium-dark shade right away. I told her not to, but she didn't listen lol. She had sprayed the whole bottle on her within 2 days, and the results really weren't pretty. All week she looked like a splotchy orange. We couldn't help but laugh lol, but she was laughing too.

So just don't make my friends mistake lol, apply your tanner gradually!!
