I think everybody familiar with this brand knows about one its best sellers : Huile prodigieuse.
It's absolutely fantastic, nourishes, sinks in quickly, doesn't leave a greasy residue, multitasking. And it smells really good. My favorite version is the one shiny with lots and lots of mica.
But, each time i want to buy a bottle, my eyes
search for the price tag, and the bottle remains on the shelf.
So i decided to make my own version. This oil is actually a blend of different oils, and i found which ones. Some of these oils like Camelia or Macadamia are a tad expensive, so try to order samples or small sizes, unless you're a total oil freak and use them in many various ways.
So you will need :
-a 100ml bottle (preferably with a pump)
10 ml of each of these oils :
-Camellia
-Sweet almond
-Hazelnut
-Macadamia
-Borrachio
-St John's wort
-Golden mica (optional)
Pour each oil in the bottle. All of them are very liquid so you don't have to worry about the viscosity. Put the cap or pump and shake. Just as easy !
Label your product and use ! (and don't forget oils also have a shelf life. i used my macadamia oil's date as it's the closest in time).
That's to get the normal, basic Huile Prodigieuse. Like i said i prefer the golden version. The amount of mica is totally up to you, i wanted something really goldeny so i used 10g, i think you could go for more if you wanted, and my oil being slightly more liquid than the original i suppose more was used, but 10g seems like a good amount.
The smell is very close to the original version (yay!), what's funny is first you notice the nutty smells (Hazelnut and Macadamia)*yum*, then you notice the more floral scent of Borrachio, Camelia and St John's wort.
I said in the beginning that some of these oils are a tad expensive, but considering the amount of oil i get, and i just ordered enough of these oils for the recipe, it is still less expensive than the original version. It would be even less expensive if you already own a few of these oils.
