Keratosis Pilaris

Hi guys! I`ve got these KP bumps on my upper arms, and am wondering if anyone has had success with either of these two products:

MD Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Body Peel
Dermadoctor KP Duty

I`ve seen both at Sephora but can`t decide between the two!

Re: Keratosis Pilaris

Found this on Web Med:

Just because you can't see them — your back, your backside, the backs of your arms — doesn't mean others can't. They deserve TLC, too. Sudsing up with an antibacterial cleanser prevents breakouts on bacterial your back and bottom, while using an alpha- or beta-hydroxy lotion on the undersides of arms can nix keratosis pilaris (aka, the little bumps below your biceps). Tempting as it may be, don't overscrub, cautions dermatologist David Bank, M.D., author of Beautiful Skin, as it will only aggravate the situation.

I don't know which to recommend - but I'm sure I would take the one that had the higher concentrate of AHA.

Thanks Carolyn!

I also read that AHA should help, and I realized that the KP Duty doesn`t have any AHA.

Re: Keratosis Pilaris

Hi! I had this too and got rid of it with AmLactin XL. It's a stronger formula than whats found in drugstores but you should be able to find the regular AmLactin and it supposedly works just as well. I used it every day after I showered. Once it was gone (about 2 weeks) I was able to use it every 3 days or so to help keep it away. Last time I saw the regular version in CVS. HTH

Click the image to open in full size.Hi! The KP kit from Glytone is available at diff skincare websites without Rx..I had a dermatologist recommend it. It's a 2-piece kit for around $50+ in different stores. The basic ingredient is gylcolic acid. The results for me were really good..and remember not to scrub your affected areas with grainy scrubs/rough loofahs , it'll just get worse and darken. Good luck!
