Ive been having this eczema problem since I was in teen.All this while,Ive got eczema only on both of my calves and lower back and it'll be on n off. 3 yrs back, I accidentally applied a strong steroid cream on my face to cure a lil breakout.It was gone, but it came back wt vengeance horribly.My face was full of hundreds of tiny tiny pustules scattered all over.The derm said the cream shoudn't be applied on face at all, and this had cause a bad reactions.Took me one month to heal...later I went again for my eczema,this time I was given a hydracortisone.After a week applying it on the eczema, I got my pustules sprouted again on my face! Its weird coz I didnt apply on my face this time, but the reaction just appeared again on my face.The doc said that the steroid effect is already in my blood and will get a longer time to dissapear.The first hand treatment for eczemas would be steroid creams,just imagine I coudnt even treat my eczema because of this.Lately I noticed my eczema flared on new places like on both of my shoulder blades, on thigh and back thigh.OOoohh the itch was unbearable...I was diagnosed with a mild psioroasis mix wt eczema!I almost fainted coz i know psioroasis is a serious skin disease and will keep flaring up....He said just take enuff fluids and keep my body moist all the time.For the eczema , he gave me Protopic, a non steroidal cream.Been apllying it for 3 days, so far the itchiness had reduced...cross my fingers..my wedding is around the corner...I dunt want my fiance to see me like this....

He may puke seeing my unsmooth back, patches here n there,disclourations.....

my friend has psoriasis. i feel for you.

she has changed her entire diet and her entire way of living in order to stave off its effects.

but as a skin regimen, she has been using Ahava Dead Sea Mineral Soap. There is supposed to be a high concentration of the correct minerals in this product that your skin needs to heal itself.

i suggest you try alep soap as a cleanser, it's the thing that cleared my acne and is also recommended for all dermatosis. it doesn't look or smell particularly nice, but it's effective. for the cream, i use one from Uriage called Cu-Zn. it doesn't contain any steroid but still works great (but i only have a mild eczema).

oh thankxx magosiene! Will have to dig for that soap,currently Im just using J & J soap free bath cream.How sad coz im really a perfumed shower gel junkie!!! ((
Protopic is working fine I guess, cant say much coz its only been 3 days but I can see that the ithciness and the rougness had reduced so much.Lets pray the thing stop flares.
Btw, me coming to France soon, so I have to be really particular about winter season and dry skin ( me frm tropical climated country)..so kinda preparing myself from now.Hey maybe we can meet up for a coffee?Lolz!let me know!

sure, i'd love that. in France the soap is sold in healthfood stores for 3€. i've also seen it sold among hamman products online. i also love perfumed shower gels but this winter a lot of them seem to give me eczema

A fren suggested that applying oil (olive or any oil) on ur body while its damp right after u step out from shower can make lotsa diff.I can do this, but I was just thinking if the oil cud stain my regular clothes?hmm....

i don't know, i only use olive oil for bodyscrubs. i prefer coconut as a body moisturizer, but i left a trace on my teeshirt

magosiene,the soap is really soapy or how?Coz everytime If I use any soap or shower gels, my skin gets dry badly after that.Hows the texture of this soap in shower?Does it foams lotsa bubbles like an ordinary soap?
