Talking My new obsession

AKA how to moisturize your hands for free

Lately, due to my job giving me eczema, i am in search for a great super extra heavy moisturising body cream to keep in the locker room, and it has to be absorbed super fast.

I have just realised that is, however, an excuse

I can't help it, if i enter a store with some specialised skincare aisle, i'll go there and try every cream i find testers of. And when my hands and arms can't absorb any more cream, i ask for samples.

I'm a bad girl, most of the creams are just too expensive, so i won't buy them but at least i can compare, and i have already selected a few items i like and would consider worth the investment. and i just like testing stuff

Lipikar from La Roche Posay (body moisturizer, big bottle but expensive!).

The Avène stuff i tried was quite good, but i do'nt like the texture.

a cream from Uriage i have forgotten the name of, and there's the handcream from Weleda (it's light but really moisturising).

Re: My new obsession

I forgot to mention Xerodiane from the brand L.E.D. I got a sample of it and it's great to moisturize your hands, and it absorbs quickly too. Deadly combination when mixed with calamine lotion.

Re: My new obsession

Bump !!

I'll add to my list of good body moisturizers Iso Urea from La Roche Posay. But it has to be applied sparingly because it's a milky texture, and it takes some time to fully sink in the skin. But i still prefer Lipikar.

Re: My new obsession

LOL, what a great idea! Have you tried L'Occitaine's shea butter hand cream? I find that to be super moisturising.

oh I heard this is good stuff. I love La Roche Posay!
I should really invest in a good moisturizer for my hands since I have 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the back of my right hand (accident when I was little) and in winter the skin cracks and dries out bad because of the cold outside and the heaters inside
So right now I just use regular hand cream like at least 5-10times a day, after every time I wash my hands of course.

Isn´t it crazy though that I´d be more than happy to spend $30+ for a bottle of foundation but can´t bring myself to buy a good quality handcream for like $20 for my special-needs hands lol?
