PH 5.5? Until proven otherwise

You know that in order for a product not to damage skin balance, it needs to have PH 5.5. Well, a lot of companies claim that their products are neutral, but I tested them in the chemistry lab and I got acid PH!
Ever felt that a product made your skin dry even if it wasn't supposed to? You were probably right!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the pH level? Was it less than 5.5 or greater? Below 7 is acidic and above is alkaline. Alkaline pH levels are bad for your skin.

Well I didn't have an indicator but I had that the test paper that switches colors accordingly... I forgot exactly since it was a few yrs ago but my chemistry teacher said it was bad
