Wax Warmer
Does anyone use an at home professional wax warmer. I would like to buy one, but I'm wondering if I can warm up my microwavable Nair Wax in the pot and put it directly in the wax warmer?

Re: Wax Warmer
i have a couple. one i travel with and one that stays at home. they're both by gigi. i really like the travel one because it's small and compact. only one setting and the wax heats quickly. the one at home takes longer to heat up. it's an older model. i don't think they even sell it anymore.
![]() this is the one i travel with... GIGI Waxing - Gigi Wax Warmers and Kits Quote:
i don't see why you couldn't, unless it's plastic! that could be a problem because the warmer heats the wax on all sides and i'm sure it would melt right through plastic. Last edited by monniej : 06-30-2008 at 07:55 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: Wax Warmer
i'm not that expierenced with at-home waxing kits so i can't give any advice, but, i know you can heat up your wax in a pot or in a sink of hot water - monnie has a tip about the plastic getting too hot - that could be prob but if you do it in the sink i don't think it will melt the plastic.

Re: Wax Warmer
Hey! I'm not sure if you are planning on doing some sort of facial waxes or a bikini, leg or underarm wax but I've used the La Grande Wax Warmer and it works very well. More important than the warmer, though, is the type and quality of wax you use. I have really sensetive skin so I used tea tree oil wax when I did my own. Oh and make sure the wax is not TOO hot when you apply it to the skin because you can burn yourself (but I'm sure you're careful!). I hope I could help! Let me know if you have any questions!

Re: Wax Warmer
I have the GiGi warmer and I don't think it's the travel version. I love it when it works the way I want it too. The only major problem I have with this one is that I feel the wax is too hot sometimes even on low setting and after it has been on low for quite some time (it has high setting to melt and low setting to keep it warm).
