ok so i wore my new baby phat shoes last week and they were so comfortable but the freakin rope thingy was killing me!!!! it kept digging into my skin and left the whole top of my foot red and swollen.
i loveee these shoes and want to wear them again. is there ANYTHING out that would have some kind of cushion for that part of the shoe? i checked everywhere and didnt find anything... or maybe one of u girls know of something i can do. help!!!!!
Oh, there is nothing worse than cute shoes that hurt like that, especially being pregnant. The last thing you want is for your feet to hurt worse than they already do!! They might just need to be broken in more. I think that maybe putting some powder on your feet so they don't rub as much or that monistat anti chafing gel might help too. Or you could even put those clear bandaids under the part that rubs. These might be silly ideas, but they might work. I usually put bandages or powder on my heels if it rubs and this might work on the tops too. Hope this helps!!

Jenny, do you mean the part between your toes or the rope-thingy on top? If you mean the top thing and if it is made of leather, you can wet a cloth with milk and leave it under, so the leather will soak up the milk and make it softer.
Another trick is to use the Nivea Cream (the original) - Nivea makes leather soft and smooth. It's also great to use it on any leather shoes to prevent cracks. I learn that from a leather dealer
Oh, btw - love those shoes!

i meant the rope on top. wow so i have to dip a cloth in milk and leave it there? or u mean wear the shoe with the cloth for a coupe of minutes?
those are some hot shoes! i had a cute pair, too, like that, but i could only wear them once because i couldn't get the rope to stop hurting my skin either! i hope you figure something out

No, just dip the cloth in milk and shove it in the front part of the shoe, so that the ropes will be touching the cloth. The cloth will be placed where your foot normally is Leave it in for about half an hour, then test, and repeat if necessary.
I fixed all my leather shoes like that.
just make sure the milk won't get on top of the 'ropes', just in case some darkening of colour should occur.

oh ok got you! thank you chic.
jen yeah i hope some of these ideas work for me cause i cant see me not wearing them at all anymore
Jennifer, I got a suggestion for you and I hope it helps!
You can try to "rub" the ropes with candles and it leaves a thin and invinsible layer of wax on them and it makes the ropes surface softer. (white candle will be a better choice cus it seems transparent)

The only sugesstion I had was to try Moleskins. You can go to www.esportshealth.com/shop/shop/product and the product is called SH Premium Moleskin strips. Those are the only ones that might not show. You could maybe use them along with the milk and/or wax ideas..and they might help....I'm not sure, jenny, but you can check it out...
Apara makes something called Strappies that are narrow gel strips for strappy shoes. I think they're for the back strap, but I'm sure they could be used for the front if they're not too wide.
