May 22, 2008 – Does the classic bow ever really go out of fashion? In a word: no. Designers' long-standing love affair with the twin loops and tails might have something to do with the (potentially naughty) association of impeccably trussed packages waiting to be undone. Whatever the rationale, this Fall, designers got more tied up in the theme than ever. On the runways of Jil Sander, United Bamboo, Wunderkind, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, bows transcended surface embellishment to become entwined into silhouettes—the sign of a sure hand with sartorial technique. "It's a detail I love working with because it is tailored and feminine at the same time," says bow aficionada Behnaz Sarafpour. "[It's] actually a part of our company logo!"

Ok i am not really a fan of big fussy bows on clothes, especially across the chest, if you've a big chest like me it looks ridiculous!!!! However a bow to the side on a high waisted pencil skirt can be nice, depends on how you pull the look together!!!! Or a bow just under your derriere, again on a pencil skirt, looks awesome!!!! Oh and on the backs of shoes!!!!!! Also i LOVE hairbows!!!!!!! I change my look daily lol but i love nothing more than big-ass hair with a big bow and lots of black eyeliner, think harajuku!!!!

i love love love bows on everything (so happy their popular so i dont have to keep making them and attaching them to my clothes)!

but of all those dresses, the purple and grey one is the only one i remotely care for.
