because i feel it's important for me to be age appropiate without being too matronly i like to be colorful and edge in my dress selection. i saw this really cute dress and would love to add it to my wardrobe. how would you ladies feel about your mom wearing a dress like this? my legs are still really good and i don't think that it's too very short. still above the knee is tricky sometimes. please be honest. i can take it.

thanks much ladies! i did get it. i'm 5'8" so i hope it's not too short! i guess if it shows more than i'd like, i can always send it back. now i have to figure out which shoes are going to work. i guess a black or turquoise peep toe is obvious (i have both already) and i don't do flats. any other suggestions of shoes that would work?

I like that dress, and I do think it's age appropriate (I'd wear it too, and wouldn't mind if I shared it with my mum either)

and I do like the shoes too. I personally would go with a flat or something fairly tame since the pattern is quite bold but I think the right person could totally wear those shoes with it!

Those shoes look good and will be fine with that dress or you can go as Rosie suggested in a solid colour in a black white or cream and there are few other colours in that dress you could use too perhaps with the right bag?? The style of shoe IMO depends on where you are going to wear it.

I love the dress.The shoe is nice also but personally I would get flats but it also depends where you are going like Anthea mentionned.
