hi everyone! question for you all---is it ok to wear denim with denim, or am i committing some horrible fashion faux paux (sp?)? as in, jeans with a longish black tshirt and then a denim jacket (the t-shirt is longer than the jacket so it isn't just denim right to denim)--i would just wear khaki cargo-esq pants with it but they're in the wash. thanks so much.

IMO, it's ok. I just wouldn't put the same shades of denim together to avoid the uniform look.

it's OK but not recommended...I mean would you wear leather with leather, NO, BIG NONO, but that's like the cheap whore look, demin is less cheap looking but ya might still get asked how much you charge...get my drift hun?

Honestly...I see nothing wrong with it...as long as its not that "painted on denim looke". I also dont see anything wrong with leather on leather...its not the material...is the just the outfit. I guess it depends where you are. Besides....if you like it wear it.

thankfully the cargo pants have returned from their trek to the washing machine and i will never worry about denim to denim again...

i actually really don't like when people wear two different kinds of denim together. lol.

i prefer them to match or wear something else with it

I don't like jean jackets with jeans, matching wash or otherwise. I just think it is too much denim. If they match, it reminds me of a rodeo, and if they don't, well I think it just looks silly.

I only wear my jean jacket with my khaki cargo pants, or colored skirt (like pink or green).
