So Lauren Conrad's collection has been out for a little bit now. She's launching her Summer 08 collection as we speak and can be pre-ordered on her website. And she's currently working on her Resort Collection.

And then there's Heidi. She just launched her apparel line "Heidiwood" at Anchor Blue. Everything in her collection is priced anywhere from $10 to $60. It's a lot better compared to Lauren's triple digit prices but will design and quality be better?

Which do you like better and which do you think will have more staying power?

Personally I'm not really feeling either one. Heidi's is a lot cheaper but I don't know about paying any money for something that cheaply made. And Lauren's collection is nothing new really. I'm sure you could buy something that resembles one of her pieces at Target. And for a more reasonable price too. Her color palate is pretty boring as well.

As for staying power and who will do better? I think Heidi's got it in the bag. She's got a bigger demographic and her demographic can actually afford her pieces. As for Lauren...sorry to say and I don't mean to be so mean but I think she needs to take some more classes at FIDM. Lol.

Whitney Port has her own line now too. "Eve and A" I haven't seen anything from it yet though but I think this might be something worthwhile. She does have design blood in her. Her father owns a apparel company called Swarm. And he's backing up the project. We'll see what happens.

I actually like Lauren's clothing line better just because I hate Heidi with a passion. I mean look at her, she's so fake from head to toe (literally). She models her own clothes, I cant stand it. Bllahh. I walked by Anchor Blue the other day only to see her face plastered over the walls. Ugh can't stand it, theres just something I dont like about her. But I cant figure out what.

Lauren's clothes are cuter, even though I can't stand her or her little "reality" entourage.

I like Lauren's clothing line better too. There all pretty simple designs, I do think the blue dress is quite cute.

Lol. I know I hate her too but I can't find a real reason as to why!?
Esp. when she's with Spencer...drinking champagne on the beach? Do people really do that? Lol.

Style wise LC's line is much better but I don't know...
I don't know too many people who are willing to shell out $150 for a cotton dress! Maybe all of LC's friends in Laguna Beach but other than that? Ummm...

I agree, none of the items I see there are anything stunningly different and new... and heidi's are especially boring - I totally agree with you that you could buy cheaper versions of her outfits from target.

Lauren for sure. I mean she knows what she is doing, she's been working with clothing for a long time. And Heidi quit fashion school, I think she just made a line to try to get a 1 up on LC. But I love Laurens even though it's expensive. I think when I loose weight I'm saving and buying one of those dresses from Laurens site. To spoil my self.

I agree, nothing here is spectacular but i much prefer Lauren's collection. Heidi's collection just seems trashy to me and i can't stand her anyways

Definitely Lauren's, I love Lauren's style but wish her clothes weren't so pricey..Heidi's look like hooker clothes and they're supposed to be geared toward younger girls.

I love Laurens!! Her clothes might cost more than Heidis but they are classy where Heidis are trashy

Lauren's style is a little plain, but Heidi's is trashy AND cheap. I'd much rather go with Lauren on this one!
