Investment Piece/Items you Really Adore

I thought it'd be interesting to hear about yours...so reply to this thread and describe your stuff! Also, feel free to list items you don't yet own but would love to own as "investment pieces" or "items you really adore"! Post pictures if you can.
My definitions~
Investment piece:an item that you own, perhaps went over your budget on, that is a classic...one that you think you will find yourself wearing for years. You can name more than one, and this includes shoes, handbags, belts, and other accessories.
Example: A perfect black dress or a Burberry trench coat
Item you really adore:The name explains itself. Something you own that you just love to pieces, even if it's not a "classic" like an investment piece would be.
Example: A funky Betsey Johnson dress

For me...
1) Lacoste Black Pointed Toe Flats
A steal for $20 at Marshall's...were $100+ to begin with...but that's beside the point. They are the classic black flats that could go with anything. I could see myself wearing them for soo long.
2) Coach Denim Patchwork Bag
I eyed this bag for like, a year on the Coach website...it retailed for $180, and I picked it up at an outlet for $85 when I was 12 (I'm 15 now). I consider it close to an item I really adore because it matches mostly everything, has a funky style, and is a bag I've loved since Day 1 of seeing it. It's really small, however, and I plan on purchasing a bigger bag someday (I don't know which brand or style I want) that could serve as a great investment piece. The pic below is crappy...you can't see the Cs on the silver patch.

3) J.Crew Chino Shorts
I have these in khaki, navy, white, pink, and yellow with purple anchors. My wardrobe would not be the same without these shorts. I got them for $20 apiece at the outlets

4) Juicy Couture Black Melissa Loafers
Definitely an "item I really adore"...cute flats that I am just in love with. They are not classics, and I could see myself getting sick of them in a couple years, but my 15-year-old self is addicted! I got them for $67 at Nordstrom...originally $225. You can still get them on sale online on zappos.com for like, $189.

5) J.Crew Cotton Cardigan
I got mine at an outlet for $33 (retail $62) in white. There are sooo many dresses and tops I wear it with. It is ridiculous. I am very glad this cardigan was invented!

6) Adidas Sandals
I feel like a loser for writing this...but I think they are soooo sporty and cute! I love mine. I got a men's pair. I wear them as if they're fashionable...like I'd wear them with a cardigan, some cute tank top, and jean shorts. I pull it off though. I really like them.

7) Under Armour Heat Gear 7" Compression Shorts in Black
I play sports. I work out. These are perfect to wear under my shorts. Enough said. They peek out because they are longer than my shorts...but they are my spandex of choice.

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of at this moment. POST YOURS!

Re: Investment Piece/Items you Really Adore

for me, it would be mostly jewellery - I've always wanted a tiffany bracelet: Click the image to open in full size.

the other thing I've wanted almost since I was old enough to think about it, I've wanted a pink diamond engagement ring. I've decided that if I don't get one from a boyfriend by the time I'm 30 years old, I will buy my own pink diamond ring - I have 7 years to save so I'm not worried, lol.

kind of like this set:

but obviously with a pink diamond in the middle, and pink and white diamonds alternated in the wedding band.

And, I guess it would be an investment piece - I have lusted over a walk in wardrobe like the one in sex and the city or even bigger for YEARS!! I really, really want one.

So, yeah. No actual investment pieces in my post, just lusts

Re: Investment Piece/Items you Really Adore

My investment pieces

1. Tiffany Charm Bracelet
So expensive (for my taste, since I usualy only buy fake jewelry) but I have wanted it for as long as I can think. So when Tiffany opened a store in Vienna (just one year ago! Thatīs how long it took them. Gasp!) I had to "go look" which turned into "Maīam, can I just try this bracelet on" which turned into "be my favorite cousin in the whole world and let me borrow your credit card, Iīll pay you back in cash"

2. Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Pouchette.
Another "ouch"-buy. But itīs a classic that will never go out of style

Items I really adore:

1. Guess by Marciano "Belize" Straw clutch in pink.
Itīs so me, itīs like this bag was made just for me. Thank you, Guess!!!

2. Guess Atomic Beach shopper

not the best pic, itīs brighter in real life. I wore it yesterday for the first time and I am in love. Itīs also the biggest handbag I ever owned. Iīm constantly trying to figure out what else I can carry with me. A comfy pair of shoes? A book? My lunch? lol

3. My black peep toe pumps from H&M
they were only $25, they hurt like a ***** after about 2 hours and they give my 4th toes weird callusses, but I still love them. They are so feminine.

4 handbags. I am not sure if they are classic, but I sure plan on wearing them a long time. My favorite would be my Hayden-Harnett black patent Marlow bag.

Re: Investment Piece/Items you Really Adore

Investment piece:
I have a silk purple/black/cream camisole from Gucci. I cannot imagine it ever going out of style. Plus, every fall, those are the "it" colors until spring hits!
And a Jersey Knit Ralph Lauren Black Halter Dress. It can be tied very low (to show off mucho chest area), it can be belted, it can be worn with a mess of jewelry or with just a great tan. It's a great friggin dress.
a Barney's New York small hand bag in pink with a green lining- it goes day or night and works well with the halter dress, or jeans.

Item you really adore:
My Maxx New York white patent tote with the zebra lining. it carries my entire house and work.
Old Navy & American Apparel Tank Tops, actually any sort of "beater" tank. I live in them.

Re: Investment Piece/Items you Really Adore

Hm..
I'll have to say my LV bags because they're pretty easy to take care of (they don't get super dirty like my fabric Guccis) and they hold lots of stuff!

I also think pearl necklaces are classic pieces that won't go out of style. Every girl should have one! And diamond solitaire earrings!

I really want some Chanels though. Those will definitely be classic investment pieces.

Me too! I told my husband when he finishes school and becomes an engineer, that I want a Chanel flap. And I was surprised that even after I told him how much they cost he didn't care.

Re: Investment Piece/Items you Really Adore

my trusty orange bag from Kipling, i can throw in all my stuff in it (i'm the type of carrying my house in my bag), it has a long strap so you can wear it across your body (makes it shopping friendly) or like a shoulder bag, and orange is such a great color, you can pair it with many outfits, it looks great year long.

i will also add my New Rock boots. cost a hella lot of money, but they're great. really comfy, and you feel their weight only at the end of the day.
