i have just bought a superb Audrey style dress in black. Very 50's!!
I have not been able to find any look alike dress to show you, but this polka dot dress have got the same shape.
I would like to wear to it the office sometime, which kind of shoes do you think I should wear? I know high heels are always a safe bet but they are not very comfy when you are running like a headless chicken all day in the office.
Any suggestions?

Ok, what shoes to wear with it:

To wear this dress in the evening (after work) I would suggest either a peep-toe pump shoe or a wedge-type heel (with peep-toe) would look great. It would be keeping with the mood of the dress. I wouldn't get any shoe too fussy because the dress silhouette is dramatic.

To wear this dress in the office and for extreme comfort, you can also just look for a basic black kitten heel pump. That way, it won't hurt all day and it still looks polished for the office.

The same shoes I mentioned in a color would be fine also. But now the color all depends on what kind of office you work in.

Is it corporate, casual, creative...etc?

If its a conservative office, stick with a neutral color footwear (most shades of brown would work (light or dark), camel, grey, dark burgundy ...

If its a creative environment you work in, then choose a bright color - - red perhaps.

How about Kitten Heels, they would would fab with this dress and you could always put on a cropped cardie at night for drinks after work

I agree with Amethyst. I think peep toe shoes & kitten heels would look great with the dress and work with the dress style very well. I love the retro glamour look. So feminine and beautiful.

hehe i'd jus put the dress on n go raid a shoe store (wouldn't worry bout wat yu wear from the car to shoe store lol, not a far wlk)
