I ordered this Chinese dress from ebay for a ridiculously low price. I'm going to this fancy thing tonight. I think it's a little too loose over the chest and stomach but I hardly have time to let anyone fix it for tonight. What do you think, can I use it like this?

I love those dresses too, I've always wanted a little jacket in that kind of style. The dress looks great, from the photo I don't see any problems like you're describing. I say go for it, Edda. Just out of curiousity, what shoes are you wearing with it?

I think the first style would be really nice, and I like the heel. I'm leaning towards solid colored shoes rather than anything with a pattern, coz the dress is patterned. You're going to look gorgeous, Edda!!

Very pretty dress!!!! I think the heels would work best. I think you should leave the dress as is. I had one that was more form fitted and it looked great but by the end of the night the seams started to pull b/c there's no stretch. So unless you plan on always standing when you wear it!! I got mine on ebay too!! Have fun tonite!!

Thanks for all your lovely comments. I'm kinda glad I didn't get the dress fitted, it couldn't have been much tighter when I move, sit or bend down. I wore the heels and at a point I though my feet were falling off! I really don't wear heels often and my feet get tired very easily. I also had to stand for over an hour in them. But the event was fun, I had some kangaroo meet and Wig Wam (Norwegian band that was in Eurovision last year) played 2 songs
