Oh, No They Didn't! Sass & Bide 'Redefines' Denim
The popular Australian designers, Sass & Bide, have truly crossed us with their recent claim that leggings will replace jeans. Their new lycra leggings are definitely a step-up style-wise from the regular Lindsay Lohan look, but as far as practicality goes, there is no way they'll rival the wear-everywhere usefulness of denim. The design duo, Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke, are calling the pants "rats," and the $175 rodent-named leggings are getting an appropriate "ew" from us. For models and rockers, sure. But for everyone else who wears jeans? Probably not.

Weren't they featured on The Hills a few weeks ago?? The models had those same ugly legging things on. They don't look comfortable at all!!

Oh I don't think so, yes, leggings are popular, and I am sure that their popularity will grow, but I doubt that they'll overtake jeans.
Wait til Rosie sees this thread, isn't she anti leggings/tights on their own? lol

i think they are cute...
but practicality wise not worth the money...
during my time of month i couldnt wear them
i cant wear them to work cause they are just not appropriate being all skin tight and all.
and they are not the kinda thing i would wear just lounging around which is what i usually do when i am not at work

The ones in the photo look whicked cool!! And if i had thinner thighs i would def ware them alot. But i cant see how they would hold up like jeans at all.

Let me count the reasons why:
1) no pockets
2) Lycra is not warm or durable
3) Lycra is synthetic (wonderful to sweat in) 
4) Lycra snags on EVERYTHING
5) If you have the smallest amount of cellulite you look REALLY bad in them
need I go on?  I'll take denim any day.... |

leggings are not pants (lol, during winter i wear leggings under my pants to keep my skin from turning crocodile). besides, in a matter of popularity i think nothing can dethrone your good ol' pair of jeans.
