I'd like everyone's opinion on shoes. I need a pair of rain boots for the fall & winter. I hate when the bottom's of my pants get wet and I also have a tendency to slip when walking in the snow or rain. I've been looking everywhere and haven't found much I like. Most have cheesy prints (I don't need anchors or umbrellas on my wellies) or they're too expensive for rubber boots (i.e. the Burberry ones I like). What's everyone think of these:

I like the fushcia. Yellow is so not me and the black is a bit plain. I think it'd make me look like a fisherman wading in the water or something. I found a great pair in Scotland last year that I should have bought, but like an idiot, didn't. Urghhhh!!

I like the ones with the check pattern the best. The fushia ones could mess with what you want to wear that day.

Coincidence - I'm looking at wellies too this morning. I always prefer black (to go with everything) but the other colors are nice too.

Paul Smith makes the best wellington boots, they feature his signature patterns on them and they even come in a kitten heel version, they make the rain boot something really special.

I ended up getting the leopard print pair at J. Crew for $48.00 - they're pretty cute and my feet stay dry.

I got them fixed but I haven't tried them on yet to check & see how they look - still in the dry cleaning plastic. I'm bloated now (PMS) and stuffing my face with a co-workers Halloween candy so they probably don't fit.

I was pissed and annoyed and now I'll probably have to buy a new pair anyway if I keep eating like this.
