Remember how your mother told you not to get a tattoo, that you'd regret it later in life? You know, because they're permanent and all. Well, at least in the case of Pamela Anderson, it turns out that mother's advice was right on. And, because Mother's Day is coming up, we'll take this opportunity to congratulate mothers for always being right about stuff.

Over the years, Pamela's got a lot of mileage out of her trademark barbed wire ink, but now that tattoo trends have changed -- and her skin is beginning to show the inevitable signs of gravity -- she's hooking up with Beverly Hills tattoo removal specialist Dr. Tattoff before things start to get ugly. Could it be that Pamela's ahead of the curve on the next celebrity trend: tattoo removal.

Not that we see Pamela as a voice of reason of anything, but her concerns over how bad tattoos look as people age are valid. Let's face it, droopy stretched out tattoos are anything but flattering. And considering how insanely popular skin art has been for the last decade, there have to be tons of Hollywood celebs who will soon be facing the same reality as Pamela. According to a Star magazine insider:

"Shes not a kid anymore. Pam is seeing the effects of age..Her skin is getting soft, she feels like her tattoos are going to be eyesores. She doesn't want blurry ink all over her wrinkled arms."

I don't mind the barbed wire tattoo - a lot better looking that some tribal tattoos I have seen. But she had Tommy tattoo'd on her wedding ring finger. Definately time to lazer that sucker off.

She had it changed to "Mommy" awhile back, though. lol.

I like tattoos, but if she wants hers removed, I don't see any problem with that...

Dr Tatoff removed one of Pixie's tats (from LA Ink). I was never big on the barbed wire thing, so I think it's a good decision on her part. Especially since it's starting to age.
