I am a bit worried :(
I'm getting "up there" in age..late 40's and I'm single. I do well financially (thank God)...I'm an A&R Music Scout affiliated with Arista and J Records. A&R's do NOT make alot of money..that is a myth. IF we have the supreme honor of helping sign an artist/band to a label, then we get a very hefty check, but we do what we do mainly because we love it and not for the $.
I also, do some....very little, would like to do more, makeup for photo shoots for bands and artists.
And, I buy and sell real estate. I own two homes at the present time.
I've also invested into my Roth Ira yearly and will continue to. I have an asset allocation fund with Morgan Stanley, but in 5 years...that account has not made anywhere NEAR what my investor said it would. In fact, this last week, I've lost $ because of the recent economy crisis.
This is scary. Word has it that by 2040, social security will no longer be. I do NOT want to be put in a nursing home after retirement. I plan on working 25 more years.
Has anyone else had really good luck with investments that have made good profits for you and something that you would wholeheartedly recommend?
I try very hard to keep up on the investment reports daily, but they change all the time.
Please share any good tips that have worked for you.
Thank you!
